This time around this post is not about a  product review or about eco-living . This  time I am sharing something that Super Special , exciting & of course a little Green Beauty !   How can I not !

Where it all Began ….

For those  following me  from the  beginning  or just starting to  follow   Boho Chic Meets Organics blog. This is  a space that I created in passion to share my farm  Eco-living lifestyle & some of the green products that I use in my daily life. To bring awareness & information for others that are  looking  into a green life -style or just wanted to know learn .

Beyond blogging , I am a scientists, Researcher & Farmer.  I  work in a lab with organic ingredients & whipping some green magic . As I worked with brands & companies to test & formulate natural beauty products. In helping brands to create safe & Eco-conscious products for all types of consumers Like You & Me. But most importantly to bring more Eco & ethically products to the market.

The thought of creating my own product  just by pass my mind like a bird flying by. Belief me when  your body is cover with ten different oils or 20 different herb powers all you think about is a ” Good Bath with Osmia Soap ” ! jejeje. ” Would You ever create your own Beauty Line “ , was a question that came up multiple times in my life , but I didn’t give much thought until my mom asked me .

When my mother was going through cancer treatment & she became highly sensitive to the beauty products she was using. Makeup was a key part in helping her  still  feel beautiful.  Specially as my MOM is a “Totally DIVA”.  She is the women that wears red Lipstick & high heals  while doing the dishes or feeding the chickens in the Farm. 

When  she was no longer able to use her favorite “Red Lipsticks” that she adore so much I started to get to work and created costume makeup product for her. Through out the time of formulating for 2 years  I got inspired  to make my own makeup products .  That lead to founded  Boho Chic Cosmetics .

-Boho Chic Cosmetics is a  mineral makeup line  handmade in small batches. The colors & collection are inspired by art, travels, and my flower farm in Pennsylvania.  I never use dyes, synthetic ingredients, or harmful preservatives in any products!  I only work with ingredients source that have approve certification that their facility are Cruelty-Free, No Animal testing & are Ethically Sources . The same high standards that I have in formulating products for brands the same apply to my products & formulas.

• Simple and creative cosmetics:

-I love gorgeous packaging, but at Boho Chic Cosmetics, we also like to keep it simple because it creates less waste in our environment. Each product incorporates beautiful flower art inspired by the beauty of Mother Nature.

A Q&A with Top Questions in your Mind ……

1.How are the  Make up collections going to be like …. 

All the collections are going to be inspired by different elements of art, travel and my farm life . Each collection is going to be very different and have ingredient elements  base on the theme of the collection, along with flower art design labels created from the flowers that we grow in the farm.

2.How many Collections will you Launch per Year …..

I have plan to launch between 3 to 4 collections per Year. I really love to take the time to plan out each one as it required a process of research, sources & creative thinking ! I also want each collection to be exciting !

3. Please Tell us your Launching a “Press” makeup products ………

OH, YES !   This is one of my biggest mission with the brand. As we seriously need Green Press Makeup products ! All I can say is that the first press collection is in the final stages of testing & is plan to launch in the Winter 2016 !  Of course they will be budget friendly price at $9  to $10 . In addition to the press product launch  I will be launching  Makeup Palette in different sizes .  That all I can say for now 🙂 but more information will be release. 4. Are your products Vegan or Cruelty-Free & etc :

All products are Vegan & No Animal Testing !!!  Also  products are made with  certificated organic  ingredients ( oils, extracts & etc). Are harvest herbs & flowers are hand harvest in are organic farm in PA in which we use no chemicals just a lot of love & a great green thumb.

Yes !! I know it’s a little confusing & I question the  same thing , how can one product work as two & Be a Liquid spray ??

Cecilia Wong knows how to make magic !  The reason why this product is a serum is  because it functions just like a serum in the sense that serum provide elements of nourish , healing & restore to are  skin through the combination benefits of oils, extracts,plants & etc.  In which help to boost are skin to become more healthy looking , which is what we want  RIGHT !  The magic of this  product  which I think is Genius is that this element was put in a toner function product . Making it more then just a toner but instead a toner that helps to hydrated your skin with Rose water  hydrosol at the same time have skin restore properties  of  calming, Anit-aging ,brightening with rose geranium oil, Lemon, Papaya leaf  & Bilberry .

 My experiences & results using :

I been using the  Rose Toner for  the past six months everyday as part of my skin care routine . I tend to have skin issues like redness, dull skin& flakiness specially once fall/winter months roll in as my comb skin type becomes more dry . I use it as a regular toner that then I  follow with organic  jojoba oil as my skin moisturizes. Keeping my skin care simple is important key  element specially when testing out a product functions &  to see the true results .

Product  scent/function:  The  Rose Toner has a  divine scent of fresh roses . So much so that it smells like if I just pick out a fresh rose from my garden .I tend to stay away from floral scents  due to my allergies but this toner didn’t tiger my allergies at all. THANK GOODNESS ! As its a light and not over powerful smell of roses at all.

The spray gives a even spray out  one that is not harsh but instead pleasant without over spraying product into my face . It just gives the right amount , I sprayed it  twice on my face  as my preferences .

Quick 1 Month Product Results  That I Notice  in my skin:  While using  this rose toner  I did notice some changes where occurring  quickly within a month use . My skin had less dry spots in which is a Big issue that  I have even when I was using cream or balms in my  skin ,my dry spots would not go away.  With the Rose Toner it  result that my dry spots where slowly healing & became less and less common of a skin issue for me . Meaning my dry spot instead of sticking around they where slowly going away and not reappearing .

Long Term Product Results That I notice in my skin after 6 months of use : 

As mention I have issue with dry spots & dull skin , after using this product continuously for 6 months my dry spots where no longer a issue . They healed away which result to  having a much smooth skin complexion and looking less dull . My skin just became more smooth making it look healthy  and my makeup end up looking  flawless . So much so that people where asking me what I was doing different because my skin look so great.

Over all thoughts & would I re-buy this product……..

This Rose Toner maybe consider high price for a $40 , 3.5 Oz bottle  . And I agree ! But I used the product for 6  months and I still have a half bottle of product !!! That’s using it everyday .  So  that mean this product would last me at least for close to 8 months to a 1  whole year . Meaning I am saving 🙂 . Instead of having to buy a product every month or two to replace it .

The results that I got over time in using this Rose Toner have been amazing to me ! My skin became less dry, no more dry spots & ended with a smooth complexion.  A result that I have not had with any  other toner that I’ve  use and believe me I try many !!  This one truly did more just just spray water on my face it actually help  my skin heal and its a change I notice just by feeling my skin  & how my makeup looks. With that said YES I would re-buy in a heart BEAT !!!! !

Back , to the main point “Pumpkin Serum” . This serum has been my highlight in 2015 for having glow & healthy looking skin . I been using it all through 2015 and have notice a differences in my skin look in that it has a even color tone and has heal old acne spot . Celcilia Wong is a person that I got the pleasure to know and meet within the green community. Her personal Skincare Line focus on healing within and out . And just in 2015 She re-brand her line to a beautiful chic and elegant look in which I got a chance to see in person during the Indie Beauty Expo  event . I am a big fan of the line & pick up a new toner since I was in a hunt for a new one . Alima Pure is a favorite green beauty brand of all time and just recent the brand went on a full new look &  update  & New product launch including  the most awaiting product  their pressed foundation and the first of  its kind in the green beauty !! I am of course jump on it and got the refill compact to test it out .  AS you may notice in the photo above it got a look of love and its because I JUST FELT IN LOVE !  It give a medium coverage with a flawless look that is very natural looking in your skin. It does not make your skin dry neither does it get into fine lines or dry spot areas like  dry powers do. It addition to other powers this one gives nourish elements  to the skin as it contains extracts & oils  that are full of antioxidants .  It My BOOK this is the best foundation I’ve used in along time  and has my skin supper happy , so much so that its now my bag staple of 2015 !  5. Meow Meow  Tweet Limited Edition Deodorant Cream, Baking soda Free in Lavender Scent

Meow Meow is one of the brands in my collection  that been in my shelf since they first launch and continues to cover my shelf today ! It been amazing to see Tara & Jeff & their two   Cat’s owners of Meow Meow tweet grow over time & expand to new heights  ! So much so that I think they have their cat town up in Up State New York Now  !

This year the brand has been expanding their brand  with their new  pumpkin mask , soaps and much more including a limited edition product for fight of Breast cancer  benefit fund  the  baking soda  free lavender scent Deodorant ! A product that had me with excitement as I been crossing fingers & toes that they would launch a new scent . Meow Meow tweet  Deodorant are the best in the market and this one  of course met all the expectations from scent to happy arm pit’s ! It had me flying high this baking soda free  lavender scent  deodorant  and hope that they bring it back some day as part of their official collections.

6. Brooklyn Candle Studio in Pumpkin 

This year I got the great chance to discover Brooklyn as I did a lot of short trips  and make a lot of great discoveries include going to the official space of where magic happens in Brooklyn Candle Studio !  These candles are  hand crafted made with  100 % soy wax and scented with essential oils .  By the way the their studio smells like heaven on earth . I pick up the  travel size pumpkin  candle  as a pumpkin lover that I am I had to have it . The scent is just like been out in a fall day as a freshly baked pumpkin pie gets pulled out the oven , it smell just like this ! By far the best candle scent  that has you spice up all year long ! an’t wait to pick up more of these candles and try new scents because they real add that touch of home  even when your traveling from state to state . A new  staple in my farm house is Brooklyn Candles studio !!

Sad to say this is the last Pumpkin Madness pick product but save the best taste one for last !For this edition I pick this lovely body Soap by a creative brand Sweet Emotions Soaptions & Potions  !! ” That’s right its a soap ” , this is not a item to eat a least if you like to have a bubble stomach !!

A brand that  is Cruelty Free, all Natural, Gluten Free , Hand made , No Animal testing or crazy chemicals found here !!  They are know for their creative  soap making and scents . IF you LOVE Lush brand creative products,  then your LOVE even more so this Brand that makes them with out the crazy chemicals ! 

Sweet Emotion Soaptions & Potions  make’s creative soaps but also had a complete line of body care like body butters , soap, lotions, scrubs and so much more,  in addition Lip balms,  has a MEN line as well.

 Pumpkin Slice Soap !

I do say when I saw this  this soap , I know it was real food , like a real Pumpkin pie and also ask for a slice to buy… jejejeje. Until the owner told me that it was actually a soap !!! well, I did get a slice but not to eat it !

Sweet holiday  scent ….

The soap scent is very much like a pumpkin pie coming out the oven, with its fresh spice scent . Its a very sweet but nice enough that it tease you to think of eating it . Its neither super strong or  over powering if you don’t like strong scented soaps. Its gentle and just right type of Pumpkin.

Pumpkin wash ….

Washing up with this soap was fun , I think it makes a great kid soap or as a guest gift soap . The soap washes up very well making it a nice foam . What I did like is how it gentle in the skin and does not over dry your skin like some soaps do. Plus , you are left smelling with a light scent of Pumpkin spices after wash.

In addition this soap makes a great soap to wash hands and makes a great soap display in your kitchen during the holidays & winter months. You even my find more people washing their hands  🙂 .

Soap is fun again ..

For sure this soap makes any shower wash a complete fun one , making soap fun to use  again !! Most importantly its safe for the whole family to use . Just don’t eat it !!

This serum called  my addition quickly  as I looked at the whole line of products that are all beautiful . Yet this little one just Spoke to my Pumpkin love !

This serum is made for all skin Types & focus to treat Age Spots as well as Instant glow . In which Pumpkin is know for in improving due to having  high nourish Vitamin B  &  C   that help with improving skin tone &  increase cell turn over. In less words its Food For your Skin  in this bottle.

This Renew Pumpkin Serum is and has become one of my favorites due to its amazing combination that includes : Rosehip, Pumpkin seed oil , Lavender Extract, Carrot root, Comfrey, Fennel , Sunflower  , just to name a few of the great ingredients in this power house . All that are great for healing & caring for one skin special during the cold months head in the East coast.

Its really is “Food Glow” for the skin as putting on three drops only , as this serum  last very long as little goes a LONG way !! Has kept my  skin happy with a natural glow in which is a sign for me that my skin is getting the nourishment that its needs in the middle of season change .

Light & Perfect

It addition to been a serum “food for your skin” best part  is  that its a light oil that sinks right into your skin . Does not leave skin overly shine or creates a top layer, it really just sink in so nicely !  Can’t Highly state that enough about this oil !!! With that say  it makes a great Per-makeup face oil to help Power makeup look flawless & avoid  flacks.

 This oil doe  have a little scent of  Lavender that is pleasant & Calming ! It fades quickly and it is not strong  yet light enough to breath in the power of Lavender ..

I been using it for two months & my skin feels  and looks great but most important is that their is no dry spots , YEAH ! A big issue that I have during the season change as my skin does not know what to do just like the weather it self . Most importantly too me is that my skin is getting the care it needs from the into & out !

Summer Heat Safe : Eating your water + hydrating tips

 

  Summer is here  & so is the heat too !

Its the season that we  enjoy the outdoors  & the hot sunny . Its also that time that we are exposed to high rays of sun light & heat & not to mention humidity !   For this reason its important that we are aware about Heat safe  & staying hydrated to enjoy a fun safe summer reason! Plus June is National Safe month !!!

Eating up your Water !

Hydrating are body’s is one of the important parts of keeping you form over heating and avoid summer heat strokes  or  dehydration.  Drinking lots of water through the day and always having  water in your go-bag is one way to keep hydrated  !

But drinking Plain water is NO FUN ! Right …. !  One fun way to stay hydrated is EATING UP YOUR WATER !!!  Eating fruits  & vegetables that contain 60-90 % of water provides your body with health liquids to keep it cool & hydrated. The best part of eating up your water is that NOT ONLY are you getting WATER but also MINERALS, VITAMINS and other important nutrition too !!

Some of the fruits & vegetables that keep you  hydrated during summer are all found at your local food market or farms market ! Some of my favorites for the season are Strawberries ,blueberries and carrots ! (seen in above photo) .
