Spring -Up Series 2015 : Spring Skin care Routine

 Spring is passing by as in 2 More weeks or so Summer will be saying Hello !!!!

Which means the season change as the weather gets warmer and my skin needs start to change ! It becomes more oily in the T-Zone area and my dry patch areas are no longer to be seen. As winter my dry patches are the issue in Spring the issues changes to T-zone control as my skin adopted & reacts to weather !!

Below  I present to you my Spring Skin care routine ! 

Fist Step : Cleansing

Although my skin is a little sensitive as its healing from the tough winter . I try to use a face cleanser that is gentle yet help me skin feel clean & radiant !!!Osmia Organic’s Facial Soap In LUZ  is my spring SUN !!  Its been a staple with me for a 1 Year now  & must say its one of my favorite face cleanser as this soap is filled with tomato  paste , pumpkin  , Honey ,Mango , coconut, coconut milk are just a few of the nourish ingredients found in this Golden Bar ! You may seen this product before as it was also feature in my winter skin care routine its a all season facial soap that why I love it so much !

Its leaves the face clean, smelling great & over time of us my skin has been more glow & healthy !

Second Step :  Toner

As mention above my T-zones area be come  more oily due to warm weather , YUPE here comes Combination skin in full Swing ! To control  my oil T-zones I love to use Cucumber products as they work effectively in my skin for this season then any other ingredient ! One of my stables in which I also been using for   a year now is Caru Skincare Cucumber + Lime toner !

what i love about this product its how refreshing it feels in the skin but also how it helps to balance out my skin through the day. I usual have one in my gym bag to refresh up my face after yoga .

Love its simple ingredients of lime & cucumber hydrosol that make it effective & refreshing !

 

Step Three Facial Oil

You may ask your self WHY us oil when you are having oily T-zone  !! The true & trick is   that oil Balances oil  !!! Yupe you hear that Right ! And it works tooo……. Using  facial oil has help me balance my skin but ALSO HAVE LESS ISSUES WITH OILY t-ZONE .  One oil I been using is True Moringa oil !! Its a new oil that I discover and has great nourish to the skin . The one I have is peppermint which is great as it is uplifting to my spirit. This oil is Cold-Press & helps to support farmers & create jobs in Ghana ! A oil that is beautiful in every way !

Step Four Pamper Skin

Are skin always earn that extra care & love ! Something that I do once a week or twice depending how my skin feels & whats been explode too . One that I discover  in the fall is Hana Organic’s Lavender Grains , first I am a lavender lover & second this product doubles as a mask & cleanser . Its a double love for the skin ! Its gentle & smells amazing I use it as a mask to pamper my skin & at the same time relax with lavender. Its simple ingredients of white clay, oats, lavender are just some of the nourish that the skin enjoys every time .

As a mask it leaves the skin relax, deep clean & refresh . As a cleanser it gently  cleans leaving  the skin relax . The lavender smell is light yet giving a relax sense .

Oh WINTER … WINTER !!!

As I write this Winter Favorite Facial Cleanser post their still sits 12 inch of snow right outside my drive way !!! Its been a rough winter here in the East side and one spot that has felt its is my Facial SKIN !!!In this post I share with you the facial cleanser that help me  beat winter & Heal my skin from dry spots to windy burns … along with a short review .

 

The Sponge of facial LOVE♥

This heart shape sponge by One  Love  Organics  in ROSE HEART  is specific for dry  or sensitive skin. I been using it during the winter months with the following facial cleansers mention in this post. It worked great with all of them in scrubbing away dry  skin spots ! I have to say it really did help to keep my dry spots at bay without causing any more dryness to my skin. It help to heal rough patches in my skin and prevent them from getting worst. I did notice a different in days that  I didn’t use  the sponge as my dry areas felt dry  & rough.

Healing Cream Cleanser

Meow Meow Tweet expanded line of facial care has me saying MEOW ! This one  specially as it is a cream facial cleanser that is smooth, calming ,  & refreshing. Its simple yet plant base ingredients provide the perfect healing factor for dry skin. It has a herbal scent that is pleasant yet  calming to the skin. For days that my skin been exposed to Zero to 1- degree weather  this cleanser became the token of healing my cold skin burns & a relief of smooth out my dry skin. It works great to remove makeup with a hand towel . In addition works well too to wash off your face after expose to the outside elements . I used this as a double products : First would layer some in my face and massage it . Then took a warm wet had  towel to remove makeup. After this I would layer again and massage it with wet hands to make it into a facial wash .  I   Looking forward to testing it out for spring !

The Facial Soap that Brought the SUN

The sun didn’t shine much this winter as days where dark and  cold. This little bar of Facial soap by OSMIA ORGANICS  called LUZ kept the SUN Shining  ! The bar has a pretty yellow gold tone to it that makes you feel like your holding the SUN in your hands . I used this bar in between my other facial cleanser to keep my face from looking dull ! It kept my face with a  natural glow . This bar works well to remove makeup and as a gentle facial wash .

A smooth cleanser  !

I got this sample in my order from one of my favorite Green beauty stores . I been wanting to try the Kahina Giving Beauty line for a long time . I decide to test drive their facial cleanser and turn  out to be a very smooth cream  cleanser that help to add moisturizer back to the skin and leaving the skin very soft . One of my favorite ingredients of this products is that it has ARGAN OIL, which my skin really LOVES.  I got two uses out of my sample and enjoy its cream texture specially on my dry skin.

FINAL WINTER THOUGHTS……

Can SPRING come PLEASE ! I have to say that I am so thankful to have all these products in hand for this tough winter as they sure all pass the test to keep my skin safe & happy from cold days . For sure these will come back into my WINTER ROUTINE for the next winter !!

SPONGE TALK ! :Meet EcoTools Sponge

The Sponge Crazies took  US by storm this year, with sponge popping every where . It literally Rain Sponge !

EcoTools Sponge  Job  : Exfoliate & clarify

It’s duty is to  clean better the face by removing impurities and leaving the skin with a smooth & refresh face.

My thoughts :  I used this sponge for  3  whole months . When I first use it it left my face with a super clean and smooth face. My face felt clean but not over dry.  But I did notice that about the 2 1/2 month mark it felt like it was not clean my face as well as it did the first two months. Also the sponge felt like it was loose its texture as the sponge became more softer.

Ecotools Sponge  Job : Its function with  Favorite Facial Cleanser

You can add your favorite facial cleanser and add water.

My thoughts :  During the 3 months I use three facial cleanser  liquid gel , bar soap & cream  cleaner to test which one would work best with this sponge .

(1) Acure Organic facial cleanser  in super-fruit + chlorella growth factor  ( Liquid Gel)

With this gel cleanser  + sponge  both combine worked great to clean out my face and leave me with a smooth touch. Using  both of these was  great as it   created a nice foam base as I circle the sponge around my face. It did the job to clean my face well enough to not use a toner after washing since it left it refresh. ( Combination use for One month)

(2) Pomega5 Green Tea Facial bar soap ( Bar soap)

The sponge + this Bar soap was my most favorite way to use the sponge. I find  that this  combination of both go  hand & hand together, its like the perfect pair. I would just wet both sponge & soap and start rubbing the soap to the sponge to get a nice foam. I feel that the soap created more of a foam then  any of the other products that I use. It gave my face a clean and refresh face  with out been dry . ( Combination use for One month)

(3) Meow Meow Tweet Cream  Face Cleanser ( Cream Cleanser)

The sponge + this cream Cleanser work great together to give your face a smooth clean finish. I find that when using the cream cleanser it help more to relief any dry patch areas that I have . My face looked less dry and more smooth . I find this two Together make a great pair  for the up coming FAll & Winter weather.( Combination use for One month)

Over all thought on its Texture

The texture of this sponge  soft when its wet ( Photo above wet sponge) . It does not have a hard texture and its gentle enough to use it daily or to use it twice a day. It will not over dry your face or leave it with tight  feeling. It just feels smooth into the face while rubbing it in circle motion.

I would Recommend this sponge for some one with combination skin or  a person that falls between dry& regular skin type.

How My Acne Pore Skin Benefit during Use :

Now this is where I get Real, I have very prone ANCE skin + very sensitive. Not a good combo to have belive me ! The only thing that I hope for is that it didn’t make my issue or skin worst :(, crossing fingers the whole time.

But to my conclusion it was the one  tool that help to improve my skin dry patches and  keep my Acne at bay. I did notice that I got less Acne during my time of months while using this . And when I stop using the sponge My Acne flare up a little more. So I notice that the Sponge was actually helping my Acne to keep in control along with my Cleanser .

Conclusion : MY FACE LOVE THE SPONGE!!!

Final Sponge TALK OVERALL :

NOte: This is the first sponge that I used and I have not used any other to compare it in regards to price, texture & function.

To be my first sponge and use of one , I think its a great investment to get a deep gentle clean face. Also I feel this does a great job to deep clean pores and to help with acne showing up. AS I did notice that I got less Ance during the time of the month while using this sponge. Over all, I felt in love with it and the price point is great specially if you have to change it every 2 to 3 months.
